LEADERSHIP: We need all the help we can get! Membership applications and merit badge counselor applications can be found here. Are you talented in any of these areas? If so, please consider becoming a merit badge counselor. Click for counselor information.
Outings and meetings always require two deep leadership. Although the troop is scout led, adult participation is required in different capacities. The more all parents help, the less each of has to do. You don't have to go camping to be a vital part of the team. There are many other 'jobs' to keep the Troop operating. Spread the fun!
Questions regarding membership can be sent to registration@troop105mbtx.com
YPT (Youth Protection Training): Any adult active with BSA is required to complete this training. Please submit a copy of your YPT certificate to Ms. Jenny.
Another requirement for any registered adult is the Troop Committee Training. This is good for new parents to get an overview of the organization and how things work. This is online at my.scouting.org along with the YPT training.
When you set up your account on My Scouting.org, please use a password you’ll remember or write it down! Troop does not have access to this information and you’ll have to go through council to get it reset. https://my.scouting.org/
COMMITTEE MEETING: Every parent is a part of the committee and always welcome at the troop committee meetings held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm, in the scout house. Please take the training located here: my.scouting.org
NO PEANUT PRODUCTS ARE
ALLOWED AT TROOP 105 EVENTS!
ATTENTION: Water and sports drinks are the only beverages allowed at scouting outings. NO SODA OR COFFEE for scouts. Our goal is to keep everyone HYDRATED!
If a scout is required to carry emergency treatments, for example an epipen, the parent/guardian AND the scout MUST check in with the Scoutmaster (or other adult in charge) BEFORE the scout is left at camp by the parent. We want to confirm the scout actually has all necessary first aid on their person.
SCOUT CHECK-OUT – Scouts MUST check out with the Scout Master, or the designated adult, AND the SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) before leaving a campout or scouting event. We need to know that all scouts left with an appropriate adult/guardian.
