This is the after action report. The after action report is the best way to document the successes and opportunities of an event and share with future leadership. We typically do a roses and thorns after a trip, but this is erased from the board and never spoken of again. Using this document and uploading it to the drive can give future leadership a better idea of how to do better on the next trip.
It is important for the lead scout to document what went well in the planning process as well as what didn't. After the trip, participating scouts should conduct a roses and thorns focusing on the program, not things out of our control (weather, long drive). The information documented here should be detailed.
