Scout Handbook

This is THE MOST important item of your scouting adventure. Assistant Scout Masters sign off rank requirements in your handbook as you complete them. This is also where you keep a log of all your camping nights, service hours and hikes. ASM's, or the Advancement Chair, will enter completions into Scoutbook. Parents and Scouts ARE NOT allowed to enter ANYTHING into Scoutbook themselves.

PRO TIP: Write your name on the top of all the log pages in the back of the handbook ASAP!

PRO TIP: Take your handbook to EVERY scouting event, you never know when you will have time or opportunity to get something signed off!

PRO TIP: Our advice is to get 2-3 items signed off at every meeting.

Label It!

Ever lost your book? Took the wrong book home? Want to be able to see your name across the room? End the confusion! $10 for custom name permanently pressed on your book cover. See the First Lady. 😉

Protect It!

PRO TIP: A 'zippered vinyl and mesh pouch' is great for keeping your book dry in the rain! Look for these online and/or and where you purchase craft supplies.

PRO TIP: ALWAYS have a pen.

PRO TIP: Photograph the rank pages as you complete them and upload them to a cloud. Do the same occasionally with camping, hiking and service logs.

Scouts may work on the first four ranks simultaneously.

PRO TIP: Read ahead, pay attention, get things signed off. You are doing all the things and campouts and meetings!

COH: Court of Honor is held every 6 months. This is a ceremony where the scouts receive rank patches, merit badges and other various awards. It is a formal event where the scouts wear their sash, there is a service and friends and family are invited.
